For the 2010 season a great range of new colours from Rainbow Shade is available with up to 99% UV protection available to shelter your family and friends from the strong Australian sun and each umbrella is delivered as a complete kit including the canopy, the frame, an inground cage, the winch and all the necessary fittings.

A comprehensive DIY Installation Guide is available for you to be able to handle the installation of this fantastic shade structure, or alternatively we can arrange professional installation in our service areas.

Frame & Construction

Frames for the Sundance lines of shade solutions are manufactured from heavy-duty Galvanised Steel with the external brake winch using a 4mm stainless steel cable to raise and lower the canopy safely. This significant frame makes this umbrella the perfect solution for the pool area as it can swing right out over the water for shade and be bought back to the poolside area for entertaining in the cooling shade while you and the family relax.

UV Protection

Each Canopy is fabricated from high UV protective Rainbow Shade Z16 shadecloth. Depending on the colour selected for the umbrella this fabric is able to provide up to 99% UV protection and comes with a 10 year UV protection warranty. Z16 is a tightly woven membrane that, although it is not classified as being waterproof, does provide some protection from light showers.

Wind Tolerance

When installed to specification, 5 metre Sundance umbrellas have a standing wind rating of approximately 45 km/h. In winds over this speed it is strongly recommended that the ubrellas be folded closed. In a collapsed position the umbrella is rated safe in winds of up to 160 km/h.

These large side arm or sidepost umbrellas are designed to achieve a balance of strength without being overly bulky or heavy.

Frame Colours

For local Sydney metro customers there are a range of 8 popular colours available for the powder coating of the galvanised steel frames of the Sundance Umbrellas. Colours are selected from the premium quality Dulux range and are additional colours are available upon request when you Contact Us about your Sundance Giant Umbrella.
